Rupert’s Bar & Grill is reputed as the best restaurant in town and is currently looking for a dynamic and passionate head chef to lead our kitchen team. We are located at Coachman’s Inn Warwick which is 2 hours from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Toowoomba is 50 minutes away - www.coachmans.com.au
This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated chef to prove their passion and ability and is right for someone who is also interested in living a country lifestyle with the convenience of the city on your doorstep.
In this role, your duties will include:
* Running a small kitchen
* Being a member of the development management team
* Supervision of the 3rd year apprentice, school based apprentice and other kitchen staff
* Menu planning, creating daily specials and function menus
* Stock control/ordering
* Rostering
* Cooking and food preparation
To be a successful candidate, it is essential that you
* Have a strong understanding of the financial aspects of running a kitchen
* Be self-motivated and professional
* Have great time management skills
* Have excellent communications skills
Computer skills and experience with Quest software systems would be desirable.
If you think you have what it takes to become our kitchen’s new leader you will have trade qualifications and a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
